Summary
Data Scientist and Quantitative Analyst with expertise in development economics, Bayesian time-series forecasting, and causal impact evaluation. Proven track record of transforming unstructured administrative data into decision-ready statistics for international organizations like the World Bank. Skilled in leveraging machine learning and advanced econometrics to drive evidence-based policy. Dedicated to the full lifecycle of data analysis: from securing data pipelines and designing rigorous identification strategies to translating empirical results into actionable advice, empowering state and institutional leaders to drive better, evidence-based decision-making.
Experience
Mar. 2026 – Present
Data Scientist, Research Consultant
Development Impact (DIME), World Bank Group
- Contribute to in-depth labor market diagnostics for Liberia and The Gambia, the evidence base for World Bank program design and for government partners.
- Negotiated the collaboration frameworks and formal data-sharing agreements with national tax administrations on which the project depends, on mission with public and private institutions, and secured access to the administrative data behind every statistic that followed.
- Rebuilt the link between workers and firms in payroll data that arrived without one: over 70% of tax identifiers were missing, and exact and fuzzy matching across administrative sources restored coverage for roughly half the affected records.
- Consolidate national-scale, multisource tax and payroll microdata into dedicated, documented research databases.
- Automated extraction from paper and PDF national business registry documents, converting unstructured records into an actionable firm-level database.
- Maintain reproducible, version-controlled pipelines with systematic quality, consistency, and reliability checks, ensuring the validity of statistics delivered in final reports to World Bank teams and partner organizations.
Jan. 2026 – Present
Research Assistant
Chair in Macroeconomics and Forecasting (CMP), ESG UQAM
- Built and maintain a daily index of Canadian business conditions, 10,804 values from 1997 to 2026, estimated by maximum likelihood with an exact Kalman filter on a mixed-frequency dynamic factor model over four activity components. It reads the state of the economy ahead of official GDP releases, and it is built to be checked by someone else: 318 unit tests, a replication package validated by 26 automated checks, a benchmark against the Desjardins leading indicator replicated from its own R code, and the sample extended back to 1981.
- Built an end-to-end pipeline for Bayesian estimation of a Qual-VAR model for Canadian recession forecasting, forecasting binary turning points rather than growth rates.
- Build and maintain the real-time database of official macroeconomic series behind the team's forecasts (Bank of Canada policy rate, inflation, output gap), managing revisions so vintage-based results hold.
- Estimate Taylor rules by GMM and instrumental variables, and a Bayesian SVAR identified by sign restrictions, on Canadian monetary policy.
- Research assistance on arXiv:2605.15092, Monetary Policy in the Media Spotlight (Ayivodji, Briand, Moran, Stevanovic, 2026).
Nov. 2025 – Jun. 2026
Quantitative Research Assistant
CIRANO, Montreal
- Proposed a quantitative methodology to determine budgetary provisions for the Government of Quebec, delivered as a policy report.
- Built a novel budgetary database by automating extraction (web scraping, pdfplumber) from Quebec government budget plans spanning 1970 to 2025, matching projected and realized values (T, T+1) to measure fiscal forecasting errors.
- Quantified budgetary risk by estimating tail risk measures (Value-at-Risk, Expected Shortfall) on the distribution of forecasting errors.
Mar. 2024 – Aug. 2024
Data Analyst
Orange Innovation, Paris
- Designed an impact evaluation methodology (DiD, RDD) for Orange's offers, grounded in a literature review.
- Developed quantitative and qualitative surveys to measure the effect of social offers on digital inclusion.
- Cleaned, harmonized, matched, and merged massive multisource customer datasets (Python: pandas; R: tidyverse).
- Automated data extraction via an OCR pipeline, reducing manual processing time for paper offer submissions by over 30%.
- Communicated analytical results and visualizations to non-technical teams, informing the implementation phase of the program.
May 2023 – Jul. 2023
Statistician and Research Assistant
LASAARE, Hassan II University, Casablanca
- Verified the survey database in CsPro against the original paper forms, performing data cleaning, recoding, and missing value treatment before authoring the final report.
- Estimated econometric models (Logit, Probit, and an instrumental variables specification with Heckman selection correction on Cobb-Douglas and Stone-Geary forms) to identify the socio-economic determinants of household water consumption in Casablanca under groundwater depletion.

Teaching Assistant, Macroeconomics
Université du Québec à Montréal
Graded undergraduate assignments and exams; proctored midterms and finals for large cohorts.
